We will be hosting our annual International Dance Teachers Association Exam session for all students. These exams will take place on Saturday 1st and Sunday 2nd June 2024.
There are a number of different dance exam options below. Your child will have received a letter in class with the exam suitable for them. If you HAve any questions please email info@studiowolfe.ie.
ROSETTE AWARD (JUNIOR LEVEL 1 DANCERS)
I would like to put your child forward for their Rosette Exam. These exams are designed for young children to explore various forms of rhythm and dancing in an exciting, fun and imaginative way. A dance exam is a wonderful way to see the progress a child has made in dancing year on year and also offers a great opportunity for students to showcase their talent and hard work for an external examiner.

Each Rosette Award comprises of 2 dances, danced together in a group of 8 with the teacher present. It’s a very relaxed atmosphere and the teacher is there to offer support and guidance during the exam.
All students will be awarded a Rosette and Certificate, each year going forward they will collect a different coloured Rosette. You can take 2 exams if you study Modern and Ballet if you wish. We will hold extra practice in the week leading up to the exam, Monday 27th May - Friday 31st May. The rest of the work will new done during class time in May.
I have been entering students for dance exams for almost 20 years and I would strongly encourage students to take them.

ONE DANCE AWARD
I would like to put your child forward for their OneDance Exam. A dance exam is a wonderful way to see the progress a student has made in dancing year on year and also offers a great opportunity for students to showcase their talent and hard work for an external examiner.

A OneDance Award is a performance based exam where a class group dances together to a pre-learnt routine. We will use one of the pieces from Dance Celebration.
All students will be awarded a personally engraved plaque, certificate and examiner report. We will hold extra practice in the week leading up to the exam, Monday 27th May - Friday 31st May. The rest of the work will new done during class time in May.

SoloDance Awards
These awards compromise of 2 solo dances of contrasting style. Each student receives a certificate and plaque. Many of the teen dancers will have done medals before. You receive a mahogany plaque and you display your bronze, silver, gold medal on this plaque as you achieve them. Gold Bar Exam, You receive a plaque and add gold bars to it as you achieve them. There is no additional weekly classes for these awards,
We will hold extra practices in the week leading up to the exam, Monday 27th May - Friday 31st May. I will give these days/ times along with the exam timetable.

Grades Payment (Primary - Grade 3)
Your child has been busy preparing for their IDTA Dance Exam which will take place in our studios in Dosco on the weekend of June 1st & 2nd. We hope to have the timetable ready for you next weekend.
Your fee for the grade exam is now due. (You would have paid for the extra classes back in February but not the actual exam fee)
