As case numbers are rising in Cork we wanted to take this opportunity to reassure the families of our students our commitment to helping to stop the spread of COVID in our studio.
Please be assured that our COVID-19 procedures are really stringent -
- All students are temperature checked on arrival, hand sanitiser applied before, during (if required) and after class.
- Students remain in their 2-metre boxes for the duration of the class, with no physical contact with any other student at any time throughout the class.
- Doors remain open for ventilation and positive airflow.
- There is a gap of 15 minutes between every class and during this time the floors are washed and disinfected, along with all doors, walls and touchpoint surfaces.
- Any props used in one group are sanitised and not used again that day - there is no sharing between classes.
- The toilets are cleaned after each time they are used.
- All staff wear their face visor throughout class.
- All teenagers have been provided with a face shield to wear during their drama and dance class.
- The first visor is free of charge and we began distributing these last Wednesday.
- If a subsequent visor is needed, they can be purchased for €3.50 at the studio.
- Our Intermediate dance students bring their own mask to class and if we do any individual travelling across the floor (ie leaps, kicks) they wear their masks.
- Heating in the cold weather - We have had engineers assess our heating systems in the past week and they have ensured us the use of our heating is safe in the studios, the system we use can help reduce the spread of the virus between breathing zones as it increases the rate of air change by reducing the recirculation of air and increases the use of outdoor air in the premises.
- We will still only use the system intermittently and open the studio doors when possible.
REMINDER
- We would ask that all parents/guardians who do the drop-off and collections continue to wear a mask and abide by the 2-meter distancing outside the studios.
- When dropping and collecting it is imperative that parents and guardians do not congregate to chat with one another in order to reduce social interactions.
- We ask that you remain in your car until the class begins and once you collect, return immediately to your car and leave the car park.
