Transition Year Work Experience Programmes at MTU

The Transition Year Work Experience Programmes at MTU Cork School of Music provide young people from across the country with the unique opportunity of developing their own professional practice in the creative and performing arts.

The dates for the 2025 TY Work Experience Programmes are:

 Drama & Theatre – 5^th & 6^th and 7^th & 8^th of Jan, 2026

 Irish Traditional Music - 5^th & 6^th and 7^th & 8^th of Jan, 2026

 Musical Theatre - 5^th & 6^th and 7^th & 8^th of Jan, 2026

 Popular Music – 6^th & 7^th, and 8^th & 9^th of Jan, 2026

 Symphony Orchestra – 3^rd – 6^th of Feb, 2026

This is a great opportunity for students to get a feel for what it is like to study at MTU Cork School of Music and to work on a professional standard performance with people of their own ages. The deadline to apply for the TY Work Experience Programmes is Friday 14^th of November at 12pm.
