We are delighted to announce that your child will be performing in Dance Extravaganza in the newly opened MTU Arena in the MTU Campus, Rossa Ave, Bishopstown, T12 ERX0 on Sunday 9th November 2025.
All Modern, Ballet and Hip Hop classes are involved in this event. Little Stars (pre-School dancers) and Acro students are not involved. Little Stars parent display details to follow shortly.
Students have been busy learning a dance routine in class, which they will perform along with their classmates for judgea and parents. Every student who performs on the day will receive a gold medal (which I feel is a great way to boost their confidence and self-esteem) and the judges will award perpetual trophies to the top 3 routines in each age category. There will also be special achievement medals awarded by the judgse on the day for various achievements such as the best individual performer, best smile etc (these will be at the judge’s discretion on the day).
There is NO fee for children who are performing in the group dance (The piece that they are learning in class every week).
There is an entry fee for the solo and duo/trio competitors. (Please see other post in the app for solo competition information)
Admission fees for spectators on the day will be €15 for adults, €5 for children aged 3-18 years, toddlers and babies are free. A family of 2 adults & 2 children is €35 - Payment will be taken at the venue.
Students performing at any point in the day do not need to pay an admission fee. Parents/ families who have more than one child performing during the day only need to pay the admission fee once.
If you are not taking part in the Awards please tell your dance teacher immediately (or text Careen 0872420630) so that they can re-adjust the Choreography accordingly. If your child is not performing they will not be excluded in any way, they will still have a place and a partner in the routine.
Students will wear their dance uniform on the day. Please ensure you have purchased your uniform beforehand.
PLEASE FIND THE SCHEDULE FOR THE DAY BELOW - IF YOU ARE UNSURE WHICH SESSION TO ATTEND PLEASE ASK YOUR CHILD'S TEACHER.
We will have face painters, balloon modellers and special appearances from disney princesses at Session 1 and Session 2.
