Studio Wolfe

As with any change, it will take us all a little while to get used to this “new normal”. We ask that you be patient with us and each other. Trust and honesty between the Studio and families is essential.

Arrive as close to your class start time as possible. Try to avoid queueing to enter if you can, by waiting in your car. Only one parent/ guardian should drop them to the door and where possible other siblings etc should not queue with them.

We will open the door at the start/end of class. We ask you not to open the door yourself.

Students must arrive ready for class - dance uniform/ shoes etc must already be changed. To protect their dance shoes, encourage them to wear their dance shoes inside a pair of sliders or crocs which they can then give to you on entering the studio. In the first few weeks are not compulsory if you do not already have one. If you are changing levels (Pink, Purple, Black, etc) you should continue to wear your original leotard. We will announce additional Uniform Shop dates shortly.

Drama students are not required to wear a uniform, their own comfortable clothes are ideal.

They will not be permitted to bring any extra personal belongings into the studio at this time including coats, bottles, bags etc.

Parents/ guardians will not be allowed to enter the studio.

Under current guidelines, our waiting rooms are currently closed so parents cannot wait within the Studio during classes. Nor can students arrive early and wait.

You are not allowed to attend class if your child or a member of your family is unwell in any way or is displaying any symptoms of COVID-19 (including cough, high temperature, lethargy, loss of smell and taste).

Students will use a studio hand sanitizer on arrival and again on exiting.

If your child’s temperature is above 37.5, you will not be permitted to enter class.

Staff will wear face masks during class.

We will limit interactions with parents on the door for social distancing purposes, if you have any questions you can text or email us.

On entering the studio you will be guided to a specific place. Students will be spaced 2 metres apart at all times during class. We will have floor, wall and ballet barre markers to make this easier for students.

At the start of each class, we will remind them of all precautions that should be maintained during the class (social distancing, good respiratory hygiene etc).

Toilets will be available for students and staff only. Parents/ siblings are not permitted to use them. We would ask parents to encourage children to use the toilet at home before class so as to lessen the need to use it during their class. Hand washing should be practised at home. Toilets will be cleaned before and after each class and also every time it is used by someone.

If during class a student needs assistance from the teacher (is crying, is hurt, is anxious etc) we will, of course, attend to this student’s needs. However, we will wear a face mask whilst doing so and then will wash both our and their hands after the interaction. I think this is especially important for parents of younger students to know.

Parents will have to queue when collecting from class. It is essential that you are on time to collect your child. Please respect the 2-metre distancing rule when queuing. Once again avoid interacting with one other in the queue. We would ask that face masks are worn for all drop offs and collections.

Students and families must leave the car park immediately and not congregate to talk - even through windows in parked cars. We ask that you meet elsewhere to interact with friends / other families and not in the Studio location.

There is an interval between classes. This will allow us to let one group go home and clean, disinfect and sanitise all equipment and surfaces in the studio before the next group arrives. Staggered times will also limit the interaction between people coming/going.

Students who do drama / dance / ballet back to back will be allowed to wait in the studio for their next class to begin as they have always done - they will just remain in their 2 metre space whilst we clean etc.

Teenage students should bring a face-covering to dance and drama class each week.

If parents/ guardians are in agreement, our teenage students may exit the studio and walk independently to your car for collection rather than an adult queuing to collect them.  We will supervise the door at this time and ensure they are collected.
