Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are looking for 35 students in 5th & 6th class (only) who can SING, DANCE & ACT for our musical production of Seussical!
You will working alongside our existing teen musical theatre team (also open to new members) as ensemble performers in this musical.
Rehearsals for the junior ensemble will be every Sunday 5-6.30pm in our studios in Dosco Business Park, commencing Sunday 25th January.
Rehearsals for our teens, as usual from 6.30-8pm.
From mid April onwards, rehearsal will be from 5-8pm.
Seussical will be staged in our studios on the weekend of May 16th & 17th.
You must be available for all practice dates.
This musical theatre production is in ADDITION TO and not INSTEAD of your regular weekly class.
Before signing up please confirm you can attend the following rehearsals:
For the final 4 weeks rehearsals, you will be in from 5-8pm.
Dates :
- Jan 25.
- Feb 1, Feb 8, Feb 15 (start of mid term break ), Feb 22.
- March 1, March 8, March 15, March 22, March 29 (start of School Easter holidays on the 27th).
- Nothing Easter weekend April 5.
- Nothing Opera House Dance Show weekend 11/12 April.
- Extended rehearsal time begins 5-8pm)
- April 19 , April 26.
- May 3 (long weekend), May 10.
- Show weekend May 16/17.
Rehearsal Commitment & Attendance
Musical theatre productions require a high level of commitment. Please note the following key points:
• Rehearsal attendance is mandatory.
• Absences are permitted only in exceptional circumstances (We appreciate people get sick).
• Absences will result in:
– 1st absence: removal from scenes and musical numbers, covered in the missed rehearsal.
– 2nd absence: role redistributed
– 3rd absence: removal from the production
If a student cannot attend a rehearsal, advance notice must be given to a member of the production team to allow for adjustments.
If you are happy with the above and feel like the musical group is for your child, we would love to have them in the cast, plaese do not sign up if you cannot commit to the above requirements.
Please do not apply if your child is in 4th class, your child's opportunity will come shortly.
Tuition Costs
If your child is successful at audition and wishes to accept a place in the musical, a production fee will apply to cover tuition and rehearsals over the five-month period.
- Students attending 1 class per week at Studio Wolfe: €100
- Students attending 2 classes per week: €70
- Students attending 3 or more classes per week: €60
Please note that students must be registered weekly students at Studio Wolfe in order to take part in the musical production - details regarding payment, etc will be ssent out once auditions are completed.
